Management Commitment
Management of DANELEC commits herself to the quality policy and objectives in signing this manual and enforcing its use on all services carried out by the company.
Quality Implementation Strategy
The quality standard policy of this manual shall be reached and enforced by the quality control officer through;
Quality Objectives
Any service undertaken by DANELEC shall be carried out in such a manner that:
o the client's wishes and needs for consultancy services are identified, complied with and satisfied;
o the result of the services meet professional standards: national and international;
o the agreement is fulfilled;
o social aspects are considered;
o environmental aspects are considered.
o safety guaranteed.
The consultation shall be performed at a high professional level measured by international standards.
Quality Policy
DANELEC shall only undertake a service if the company on its own, or in collaboration with others, have the necessary financial, administrative, technical and professional resources to accomplish the service in accordance with the objectives.
The quality objectives shall be reached by DANELEC through:
1. the application of the Quality System outlined in this manual;
2. the involvement of all DANELEC personnel.
Professional Competence
DANELEC professional competence is determined by the professional qualification and experience of the employees, the technical facilities and the information available, and the ability to utilize these resources. The technical competence is vital for the performance of the consultancy services, and it is maintained and updated concurrently with the evolution of society and the technological development.
Professional Qualification of Employees
In DANELEC, the professional qualification of the employees is of greater importance to quality than any other single aspect within the company.
Hence the development and maintenance of the employees' professional know-how are a continual and systematic process based on identified needs and requirements. Methods to achieve the desired level of professional know-how include:
1. performance of consultancy services and feed-back;
2. solving R&D projects within new as well as existing disciplines;
3. internal and external post-graduate education and training in respect of:
- professionally specific topics,
- languages,
- management,
- electronic data processing;
1. participation in external professional committees;
2. participation in national and international congresses, seminars workshops and symposia;
3. improving and maintaining relationships with national and international universities and with other research institutions;
4. planning of each employee's work so as to meet his personal preferences and needs;
5. stationing of employees with international partners;
6. post-graduate education and training, in Nigeria or abroad.
Business Development
In order to ensure continued consultancy services within the framework of the quality objective, it is essential for the company to continually develop and adapt its services to the needs of the society.
Business Development Plans
The needs of society are identified by continuous compliance with clients' needs in each Business Area. Each Business Area prepares an annual action plan setting out specific goals for the next financial year and specifying the target areas to be concentrated on, as well as marketing activities and the technical development.
