IMPLEMENTATION AND PERFORMANCE MONITORING
The following statistical records shall be maintained and reported on a weekly basis during project execution and will be documented in the minutes from the weekly review meetings.
Incident and Accident Investigation Reporting
All accidents and incidents will be immediately investigated and reviewed as required by procedure. Causes will be determined and corrective actions applied. The resulting corrective actions will be discussed with other work
Groups/areas during the review meeting ,or sooner, depending on the severity of the incident and the ability and need of other groups to learn from it.
The site Engineer and other staff are responsible for the investigation of HSE accidents and follow up investigations.
Occupational Health and Safety
Fatigue can result in reduced concentration, which can lead to accidents.
DANELEC LIMITED will ensure that adequate personnel are employed to eliminate the effects of fatigue and under normal circumstances ensure that personnel get at least 8 hours rest in a day, of which a minimum six shall be continuous.
Health hazards will be analyzed using the HEMP. There will be a site nurse at the worksite to take care of non-serious injuries. DANELEC LIMITED will use a retainer clinic with adequate equipment to deal the serious health injuries or ill health. DANELEC LIMITED shall maintain communication with this hospital by telephone.
The workers shall maintain housekeeping at a high standard within the work sites. Waste shall be collected and disposed of in accordance with the rest waste management practices.
Where appropriate personnel will be continually updated on occupational health matters to their jobs. Employees will be updated in the toolbox meetings and through posted announcements.
HSE performance records shall be readily available and used to provide feedback/review/discussions at HSE meetings .Disciplinary measures shall be enforced, resulting from non- conformance with HSE rules and regulations.
Safety awards shall be issued to deserving workers for outstanding and lasting contribution to HSE in the course of the project. Employees can nominate any other employee for an award or recognition for outstanding achievement or participation in HSE activities       |
